    Help - disaster!!!

    HELP!!

i have just been out a couple of hours leaving my step daughter playing - angry birds'... i have got back in and the whoel tablet has been wiped (it appears!) basically i am back to 'as new' like when it was out of the box!! everything has gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

is there any way you can do a system rollback (like on Windows) to a previous time to try and restore?
the ee pad has not been connected to the internet at all in this time.

please help i have lost a lot of stuff, apps and configurations!!

    thanks in advance...... :-(

if it has been wiped, you just have to enter your google username and pass. google has a record of all your app downloads and will install it again on your system. but i don't think you can recover you game data.

Google does backup certain data, not sure exactly what but they state: "Application Data, Wi-Fi Passwords and other settings"

So there is a chance, once you have set it all back up again with the same Google account that certain apps may have their settings and data restored.

I think these guys got you squared away. I would suggest for the future to install this app called protector:

    https://market.android.com/details?i...dpassword.core

And protect the settings as well as any other (up to 7 total) that you do not want someone to accidentally access to do a data wipe, or any other sensative info. If you pay for the plugin, you can get unlimited apps protected.

There is still a chance someone does a data wipe using the power/volume buttons if they hit the right sequence, but it will keep the one from the settings from accidentally hapening.

    Hi,
this weekend my Hotmail account was compromised for the first time, thought I had done everything possible to avoid that. Last night I performed a factory data reset & was asked during the install if I would like Google to backup my WiFi settings, passwords etc. Basically back them up so the "Cloud", I'm assuming, could restore them if necessary. Only started screwing around in the Google cloud when I got this tablet a short time ago & since my Hotmail account has never been compromised before I'm wondering? Can anyone imagine a scenario where allowing the tablet to backup settings might compromise passwords?

Needless to say I told the tablet NOT to backup WiFi settings or any passwords.
