    No response to power switch!

I was ending a session, pushed the power button and acknowleged the log off. The blue circle log off activated but after several minutes of not completing I
had to go to a force off at the power switch. After some time I was going to start a new session but the power would not turn back on. I know I had battery
life when I shut down before and I also plugged in the charger, held the power button on for at least 30 seconds with no response. The eee pad is only 50 days old, what should I do?

    Welcome to the forum!

You can take a look at this guide here to try and solve your problem - if you plug your TF into the PC USB port does it power on ?

Holding the power for 30 seconds, let go, then hold for 3 seconds then let go should boot it up if there is no faults

Thanks for the possible solutions and the quick response. I wish I could say that they worked but they did not. Looks like a trip back to ASUS to be repaired. It's a bummer
when such a nice product has such a short operating life without failing. Everything worked so well. Thanks again!

I feel for you I too seem to have a black cloud following me. If there are 100 items on a shelf and only one is bad I always seem to pick that one.
In the long run once you get it fixed you will learn to love the TF.

I have had a quick look over the guide and it seems to mainly relate to issues charging, with the charger leads etc (will read in more detail later).

My Pad still has power, it wasnt used much from full charge.... it wont boot. Whether docked, or in tablet form - nothing.

It did this once before, and yet started fine the next day. I am hoping it boots shortly as I really dont have the time to be messed about with returning a defective product. A shame as it would marr my opinion of an otherwise great device.

Yes, a lot of the guide is about charging issues but after that it gets to methods to try to get it to boot. We wanted to make sure folks who cannot boot are getting a proper charge on it and that the charger is working before they say it won't boot.
