Hmmm, I'm just thinking that a little juice would be lost like any battery. But as it sits there waiting for you to attach the tablet to it I can't see really any battery drain taking place.

I haven't seen a standby spec given for the keyboard which is odd since it has a battery. So one must assume it discharges at a lot slower rate than the Transformer when it isn't connected since nothing is drawing any power from it like on the TF with all the apps like email running in the background.

I did see in the General Discussions page where there's a thread about the dock battery life and some people are having some issues. It's under "TF & Dock Battery Log" started by jojobou.

It's hard to tell really, as there is no battery indicator for the dock, other than looking out for the flashy light on the side. I wish one was provided on the tablet so that you could see how much charge your dock had left when connected to the TF.
From my limited use of the TF and dock, mine does not seem to lose much juice when disconnected from the TF. I have read that it is always best to allow these devices to drain completely (or near to it) before recharging, so I tend to wait until the dock is flashing red at me before charging it.

over at the XDA forums, a member made a widget to show the dock battery level:
[APP][BASIC] Transformer Battery Widget - xda-developers
also, running this in a temrinal emulator on your tablet:
logcat BatteryService
*:S
should show the battery level of the dock and tablet individually.
Oh and, my dock drains the transformers battery even when its turned off, by 1-2% an hour. Others seem to have this issue as well, but I'm hoping that it is a fault and am sending my dock back for repairs.

I also have a 2%/hour drain while docked and turned completely off and a 4-5% drain/hour when docked and on standby. It's probably the same for all docks.
The dock battery does not drain when TF is not docked however (1% during the whole night). Not since firmware 0209.

Thanks for the heads up - will take a look at this as it sounds like just what I want.
