    Touchscreen issues

I know this has been talked about a lot but I have tried the fixes that have been mentioned: a custom kernel, and the "fix me" touchscreen app for calibration from XDA.

I am rooted and running revolver and blades v21 kernel right now but it happened on stock too.

I can be in the middle of typing something or pretty much anytime it feels like it, my touchscreen won't respond to some of my button presses. Mostly it seems to be at the bottom of the screen. The back button a lot. Touching stuff at the to of the screen works fine but the only way to restore full functionality is to turn the sceen off and turn it back on.

I'll listen to all ideas as I really don't want to send this back to ASUS

    Thanks

Still happens to me ocassionaly although very rarely since the last FW update.

Never worked out exactly what caused it, but the only two things I could think of, were the temperature of the screen, when it was very cold it seemed to bug out more often.

And I was wondering also if it had anything to do with the static charge either around it, or in our body as the screen is capacitive.

Turning it off and on, and cleaning the screen are my only fixes right now too.

Thanks Detection. Well I guess there is no reason to RMA. I'll just keep the screen clean (thinking about getting a screen protector) and hope for a fix soon

Seems like it happens on some newer Android devices. Never had this issues with my OG Droid or Droid X. But get it from time to time with my TF, Bionic and had it with the RAZR as well. It is never that bad that I consider an exchange.
