    Android Market Movies - Problem

Two days ago, I rented a movie through the Android Market. I watched about 1/3 of it and had to pause it for about an hour. When I came back, I could not restart it from the point where I paused it. I could start the movie over but any attempt to fast forward would eventually give me an error. I tried:
    1. Restarting the movie & fast-forwarding
    2. Downloading the movie & fast-forwarding
    3. Force-stopping the video app
    4. Clearing the app's cache
    5. Restarting the TF
    6. Cold-booting

None of this worked. Does anyone have any suggestions. I've searched and found a few people that have the same problem but haven't found an answer. I did find a thread about various converters to successfully reformat videos but nothing that suggests how to fast-forward a rented movie. Thanks.

Just so you know your post is not being ignored, I personally have not rented any movies from the market yet so can't advise unfortunately.

Not sure if those movies need Google Video app to be played inside of, or it you can use a different player ? MX Video Player with ARMv7 Codecs seems to work pretty well if you can download the movie and choose a different player to watch it on

I had the same problem this morning! Watched half or horrible bosses last night and went to sleep. Woke up this morning and It won't let me fast forward into the movie. Have to watch the entire thing over again???? Frustrating.....

I tried the same things you did with no luck.

So you won't feel too badly I have had that same problem on my TV, even though it's hard wired to the Internet on Cinemanow. Very frustrating.

You might want to check the Amazon forums to see if others have had issues with streaming.

Thanks for everyone joining in. I appreciate the Market link; I tried there first and didn't find anything that worked. At this time, I know to NOT watch a movie on my tablet unless I can see the whole thing. That's a shame because it is really a convenient way to see a movie.

If I remember correctly that link provided information on pre-downloading the movie. If so, that would do the trick.

Long pausing is a problem If I need to take the dog out in the middle of streaming a movie on the TV my wife has to periodically hit play then pause to keep it alive or there will be problems.

I downloaded the movie and still had the same problem. Unless there is a way to use another player once it is downloaded?

Ya, I have the movie downloaded and pinned as well. I got the transformer to watch movies on subway too and from (30 minutes commute each way). Kinda makes the device pointless for me now- May have to throw it up on ebay and hope i get what I payed for it out of it.
