Sometimes on BOOT I get vertical lines
Many mornings when I boot - I get a light blue screen with vertical lines. Requires me to tap the On/Off button a couple of times to boot. Seems to happen most often when I download an APP. When I remove the offending APP, I get a normal boot. Anyone else?

Is this one specific app that you keep downloading that's causing the problem?

No - just last night I downloaded System Monitor and this AM I got the blue lines. Has happened with many other APPS

The way you said you installed then uninstalled and the problem went away sounded like you were doing the same thing.
But as I understand, it is going away. If that's the case you might want to install an app that causes the problem. Turn the Transformer completely off then back on again and see if it's still there. It doesn't sound from your description like it's a persistent problem.
Is the Transformer being kept in a cold place over night by any chance?
If a restart doesn't solve it get back to us.

I'm having the same issue but its not Alps because it does it even with just stock apps. Only thing I see that's.causing this is when the machine gets cold. If I turn off tablet and let it sit enough to get cold it happens if its in alleluia mode never happens. Interesting thing happened I put it in leather case and was kept warm left it off all night and this morning turned on with no vertical lines. So could it be that cold is affecting the tablet this way and if so why? Is this normal?

Have the latest firmware update and did cold boot. When i took it to best buy the geek squad guy said he thought it was a loose soder on the LCD screen . Tablet is only a few days old so took it back and they agreed it was defective but no longer carry the x-1 model it is now dead stock they would replace it with a-1 but would have to pay $100 difference argued with them to no avail that booth were identical even geek squad guy agreed but wouldnt do exchange .so my dilemma is do i just get a refund or pay to ship to asus for repair . Pretty crappy customer service from best buy .
