realities of getting meego or other linux distro on tegra3

do any of know the realities or have experience getting a Linux distro on the transformer. because the only thing that would interest me in upgrading to the prime would be the the possibility of installing something like Ubuntu or maybe even megoo. either as a duel boot or just replacing android all together. I have read about many mixed results and opinions on this. so I was wondering if any of you transformer owners have personal experience with this. the reason I'm interested is because after three months in andoid I am finding myself just as uninterested in it as I was with ios. maybe these mobile OS's just aren't my thing. though I do like android more then ios, except for the weaker battery performance of course. but then again I have yet to leave the stock experience and root to try out some of these mods. something I would be interested in doing also. just haven't attempted it yet because I never planned in keeping my first tablet. and always knew I would be exchanging it for a second generation tablet if I found myself interested in them.

I'm writing this from my Ubuntu running on Transformer with dock. Everything seems to be working except: audio only works with earphones. I followed the XDA thread mentioned above. Now I can use my Bluefish web editor and all my familiar software. Only problem so far app-wise is LibreOffice won't runI. I've heard Chrome also has some problems, but happy with Firefox performance. Also I have NGINX server, PHP5, SQLITE3 running fine.
