Moving apps to SD Card, what is the point?

I confess to being an incorrigible tweaker. The number of devices I have sent to la la land is astonishing. Now that I have acquired some maturity (accidentally) and an Asus TF, I try, repeat "try" to resist the urge to explore the full inventory of the possible.

Today, I am resisting Moving Apps to the SD Card. Possibly because I do not know how.

It seems to me that MAttSDCard (short for above) would free internal storage. Is that useful unless you have thousands of apps?

It also would allow "SD Cards for circumstances", basically a different set of apps depending on whether I am doing business, playing games, travelling, or just reading in the shower. Again, would that really be useful?

App movers insights welcome and thank you in advance,

    François

There is no point or advantage to moving apps to the SD card and it isn't supported in Honeycomb anyway at this time. Like I tell people. Keep your apps internal and your pics/video/music on your sd card and you will not need to worry about running out of storage space. Apps run better on the internal memory anyway.

    ^ What he said.

I have more apps than I ever need, including work files to work, and I only have about 3 gigs used on my internal storage. Grab a 16 or 32 GB microSD for less than $50 (class 4 or better), format for NTFS and you have nothing to worry about.
