    Amazon Kindle books and Transformer?

If I download a book from Amazon.com (for Kindle), will I be able to use it (with no problems and without making any changes or adding apps) on my Asus Eee Pad Transformer?

No, you WILL have to add the Kindle APP to your TF. It is free and you can get it at the Android app store. Once you register it by logging in with your Kindle account it will automatically have access to any book you bought with that account. You will need to simply download it by clicking on it and then it is available offline just like on a Kindle.

Most ALL books from Amazon are encrypted and need to be DEcrypted per device with it's own native app. SOME book are not encrypted and can be converted to another format by using apps like Calbre (Google it up), however MOST - even free public domain - books are encrypted and need this process.

You will have to install the Kindle app from the market in order to read Kindle books, this is because most if not all Kindle books are in a proprietary format that prevents them being read on non Kindle devices. but it is a very small footprint app if I remember correctly.

You can have up to 5 different machines on one Kindle account. Whispersync will allow all books bought on that Amazon account to be viewed on all machines. Any books converted and put on the Kindle independently used to have to be installed on each machine separately. You only have to have the Kindle app on each machine.

Seriously it was one minute compilation of clips from the MST3K experiment of " The Final Sacrifice" on YouTube. It borked a forum rule and a mod requested that I delete it.

I installed the Kindle app and became a friend of Kindle on Facebook to receive notifications of free books on a daily basis.
