why won't app appear on desktop?

I've installed the dual battery widget designed especially for the TF with the docking keyboard, but for some reason it will not appear on the desktop along with all my other apps - which is where you really need it. When I go into 'settings-manage apps' it is definitely installed, but for some reason it is just not on the desktop. Any thoughts?

Newbie.

Here is what you need to do newbe. From the home screen tap the + sign. You now need to tap widgets. Locate the DBW widget long press and drag it to your home screen
