Yes but the difference is power from the tab will drain a bit during the day even when docked. I think the main problem is if it's constantly full and at the same time, being charged, for over 2 days or so.

I also have a car battery charger and what it does is if the battery is still left connected when its already full, it will automatically go for a minimal discharge cycle where it discharges the battery by about 10% and recharge it. It will do this indefinitely until disconnected.

Basically, I'm curious about if there are any cons to keeping the tablet docked in over a long period of time. This is probably 5+ hours with various releases from the keyboard dock but typically I'll be in class/transporting it as a set.

Reading a bit about lithium polymur(sp?) batteries, sounds like keeping the tablet at/near 100% will be detrimental to the capacity in the long run.
If anybody could clear the air, that would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the heads up. Read the thread before but always good to go through a second time. Sounds like the posters are sharing the same mind about being cautious of keepng the tablet constantly docked in.

I'm in the camp of plug it in whenever after the initial charging cycle of full to empty 2-3 times. If these are quality batteries they should not overcharge, they have the ability to know when there charged, so it's been said. Not sure how you got you dock to 1% Janor, mine drops to 3% and quits drawing from keyboard. The firmware updates have changed battery performance, but it seems everyone is getting different performance now. I still get about 8 hours from each half, maybe it is the way people are configuring or apps they are using that are causing anomolies in battery drain. If you have too many apps syncing too often or your screen is set to maximum brightness or ______, your going to burn through your battery.
