Power saving with keyboard attached to TF problem observation.

The following is observed with the TF docked to the keyboard.
I have noticed that if the power button is depressed to put the TF into standby and then the lid is closed, the display is tuned back on when closing the unit. Battery drains when lid is closed.
This can be observed by looking closely at the display while closing the unit.
If the TF is left on and the lid is closed, the display goes off.

Not on mine. Docked, pressed button to make the TF sleep, closed lid, peeked carefully and the screen stayed off. Mine was off (sleep mode) for several hours and the battery did not drain.

I have noticed that closing the lid is the same as pressing the lock button. If you lock the TF, then close the lid, the screen comes back on. I have a lock screen configured, so it only comes on for a few seconds then turns off. If I do not have a lock screen configured, the screen turns on for the length of the timeout.

I have gotten in the habit of just closing the screen, not pressing the lock button then closing the screen.

There should be a different command for the two (lock screen vs closing the lid) but this has not been done yet, so it is best to understand what causes the behavior and how to correct it.
