I would be interested in how this is set up also.
I have had no luck connecting a Win 7 64bit machine via Wi-Fi to File Manager HD.
I believe I have all the share permissions set but still no luck.
    Any help would be appreciated.

Try ES File Explorer. Go to "lan" then click the search icon, (the magnifying glass). You should see the IP addresses of the systems on your network. If not, there is something else going on.

Make sure it is set up in win 7 for Everyone to see it and the the firewall allows file and printer sharing.

Reboot the Win 7 PC as it may not work without a reboot after changes are made.

Check the IP and try to connect to this IP from ES or FM HD manually if it does not scan to find it.

OK I got File Manager HD to see my local PC drive.
I had the User Name and Password wrong in the ASUS setup. These are the same as you would use to log onto the PC, not the Wi-Fi.

Now I just need to find a picture viewer that can play a slide show from the server drive and a music player that plays multiple songs or albums. Both the built in apps do not see the external server drive AFAIK.

For a picture viewer, try Quick Pic. Also, ES File Explorer is great for viewing the files, and it has a picture viewer that works for network drives. You can even use it from File Manager HD. I think it may also have an audio player, but I am not 100% sure if that is the case or not.
