Transfering photos from thumb drive to intermal storage or micro sd card

Has anyone figured out how to move pictures from SD card or thumb drive which is mounted on the keyboard to the gallery? I see copy but when I go to the gallery to paste- there is no paste! I like to keep my sd card in my camera pretty empty so I can take lots of videos and pictures. I was thinking I would be able to download them into my Asus- like I always do with my laptop. It's not that easy. Also someone mentioned they couldn't save an email attatchment in the gallery. Same problem. If anyone knows a solution please pass it on.

You don't go to the gallery to paste. You use the File Manager to navigate to wherever you want the photos to go and paste from File Manager.

For example, if you want it in internal memory, first you navigate to your removable storage, select the photos (or folders) and cut. Then you navigate to /sdcard and create a folder called "Photos from Digital Camera" (or whatever - name is not very important as long as it is not something that already exists). Go inside and create another folder if you want, or just paste the photos there.

The gallery app will pick up the photos from there.

Indeed, that is exactly what I do... and often take it a stage further ~ By using ES File Explorer I can either put the Thumb Drive in my Router/PC and get ES File Explorer to pick them up via Wifi and transfer them across to the TF.

A dual pane file manager would make for a very popular app for cut and paste moves.

    Nice one Jeffrey.

    EDITED:
That'll teach me in trying to get more than 10hrs hard use out of the TF.
I had just sent you a reply Jeffrey and was then about to hit the 'Like It' on your post above and the TF switched off, batteries both flat.

    Like It to you given.

Thanks for the help. I was able to do it with fine manager. I had tried file manager HD but it was not working that well for me.
When I get more time I will try some of the other apps suggested to see which is the best fit.
