    Screen Flickering

I just got my Tf101-A1 yesterday from Best Buy shipping.. Shipping was great..

    BUT

Something is wrong with the tablet. Everytime I go browse using the browser, the screen flickers like crazy. It seems to work fine everywhere else, but browser and turning the pages in the book app causes my screen to flicker.. any ideas?

When on the interent go to:

Menu----->settings---->advanced------>enable plug ins-------->set it to either off or on demand and that seems to cure the flickering.

This is a problem that is likely to be addressed in 3.1 I believe

    Thanks for the response.

    Tried that and no go.

I've updated to the lastest firmware and software from Asus.

    *SIGH*

Waited all week for this and doesn't even work!!

Any more ideas..? Could it be a hardware issue?

When all else fails reboot. Try a hard reset. With the until on hold the power button on for 12-15 seconds and then release it. If it doesn't restart you will need to hold the button for 4-6 seconds and release. It should start and then see if your problem is gone.

Please post back one way or the other as to if this helped or not as this may help another member with a similar problem in the future.

Thanks for the response. I tried holding down the button and i was able to reboot the device. Holding it down for 15 secs does nothing for me. Is that the same as doing a factory reset or holding down the power and vol down button?

A factory reset wipes all the settings, apps, and data off the device and sets it back to factory conditions, hence factory reset. A hard reset is like shutting your computer all the way off rather than just rebooting it. When you press the power button and hold it for a second and it asks if you want to shut down and you say yes, it shuts down and you can restart it by holding the power button for 4-6 seconds and letting go. But when your device is powered on you can hold the power button for the 12-15 seconds that I mentioned and ignore the do you want to shut down question by just keep on holding for the full 12-15 seconds and the device should power off and after a few seconds or more it should restart. If it doesn't restart on it's own then press the power button for the normal time of 4-6 seconds and after you are up and running again take notice to see if your problems have been cleared up.

My transformer is having the same issue

Got my TF Tuesday evening and it's having the same issue, screen flickers when opening browser, market, gmail. Called ASUS and went to BestBuy, neither helped. Waiting for RMA to ship it back.

I got an Acer Iconia A500 now and am happily using it.

My Transformer doesn't flicker. Sounds like a hardware flaw. Short in the screen's connection to the motherboard. Take it back.
