Transformer battery conditioning and battery life

Just got my TF a few days back and my battery life is just now down to 10% which I'm charging now. However I wanted to see what you guys do to condition the battery on a new TF and what settings do you have setup on your TF to extend the battery life?

Right now 90% of battery is being used by Wifi which I've just seen it setup for always on. Not sure if I should turn it off each time the screen goes off or not. On my droid 2 phone I have an widget that allows me to quickly turn on and off settings like this but didn't see anything similar on my TF.

Anyways what are you suggestions for battery life conditioning and settings for best battery life?

Once fully charged...keep it charged if you are not using it...otherwise running down to about 50% is about where you probably want to "bottom out" in general if you can.

As for WIFI...you can set to it to go off when the screen is off to save battery life. Some folks put into airplane mode as well....that's up to you of course.

I use an App called Auto Airplane. Free at the Market. What it does is turn the wifi off when the TF goes into sleep mode or if you turn off the screen manually. It turns the wifi back on when you wake the TF.
I have found this increases battery life considerably.

Whats the reasoning behind not dropping below 50% ? I always thought it was better to run down below 10% then do a full cycle charge?

There are two free apps called Auto Airplane, one made by be1ay and another by DON - which do you use?

I would say it is the one from DON, judging from this post: http://www.transformerforums.com/for...html#post62570

I had the one by be1ay, and it had the time for on and off.

I'm curious about this too. Not so much going to 10% often, but curious why not going for below 10%.

The 10% pretty much refers to the older Nicad batteries. The newer batteries do not require the same type of cycle/conditioning
