Have rooted 3.2 transformer, need to unroot or get Netflix working...

    Hello,

I rooted my asus transformer with honeycomb version 3.2. All I want to do is use Netflix app. After I rooted, then they released another firmware update that included Netflix support.

How do I either get the ASUS firmware update so i can run Netflix or unroot the device.

I'm obviously new here, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

All I wanna do is get Netflix to work.

    Thanks in advance,

    Lee

    Welcome to the forum.

Not sure which version of the TF you have, US, WW, CN, TW, etc. Grab the appropriate version from the FTP site, unrar it to a microSD card and pop it in your TF and then reboot. It should go into flash the latest version (8.6.5.9)

Lee I no nothing about rooting a device but I will post a link that gives instructions for unrooting and once you are unrooted then supposedly you can update with the patch that Asus sent out on 8/23 that is allowing us here in the states to watch NetFlix on the Transformer without being rooted. So if no one else gives you a better option then here you go but again I don't know anything about the root/unroot process so I am only supplying a link.

I have the same setup and can confirm the following method does work. Go to [DEV] Netflix patch for Asus Transformer - xda-developers and download both the Netflix APK file and the Netflix patch (netflix patch attachment is at end of first thread). If you download them on your transformer, go into the file manager, click on the Netflix APK file and install it, but do not open the app after installation. After that cut the patch file and paste it onto your external SD card. Recover your device and install the patch file (If you need to know how to do this let me know). Reboot your TF and Voila!

[APP] [Netflix V1.3] Netflix Rotation Enabled Apps w/ Colored Loading Screens - xda-developers

This is still my favorite option. Works great with my Prime 1.8.4 TF (and my Evo).
