Gap between the glass and frame, problem or not?

    Hi guys,

Today i got my transformer and all good, very little light bleed only on bottom (i got a box with black labels), sturdy no cracking sounds do to bending, twisting or one hand holding. The only problem i discovered so far is a gap on the right side of the tablet between the glass and frame. I want to ask you guys if this is a problem, a defect, covered by warranty or i should not bother?

Is some of you having the same "defect"?

    Thanks.

I was thinking in terms of getting dust under the glass, if so, and i decided to return it, is this considered a defect therefore covered by warranty?

You should not have a problem exchanging your TF.

I would send it back. There is a reason for the rubber seal that runs around the circumferance of the frame and glass. It keeps out debris and moisture.

Hmm, the risk of getting a TF back with screen bleed or random restarts may not warrant you going this route.

Well, that's a good point.I don't know yet if it suffer random restarts but the risk of getting one with bad light bleed is very possible. That's why i try to find out if this gap is a defect who might lead to serious problems. I have a 30 day money return from the retailer, so its an advantage. I'm a little conflicted.

It's not like our tablets are airtight/waterproof in the first place. If it really bothers you, you could fill it with some non-conductive adhesive.

My TF has no gaps. If it did I would return it. It seems the QC is getting better with the newer models. You deserve as close to a flaw free Transformer. I wouldn't fear maybe the next one would have light bleed issues. Most of our Tablets have a little bleed anyway due to the nature of the TF's IPS display.
