    How do I...?

    Enjoying my transformer, but have a fw questions:
    1. How do I clear the history of all the things I have opened on my menu button?
    2. Is there not a Facebook app? and if not, when can I expect for them to come out with one?
    3. What is MyCloud and what can I use it for?
    4. When I open an attachment in an email, is there any way to save it in my Polaris Office to use later? I found an app for my wireless printer to let me print, but since using this for a lot of business Id like to be able to save those.
    5. Can I use video chat on Skype?

    I think thats it for now, thanks in advance
    J

    1. I guess you are talking about your recent apps and the easiest way is to shut down and restart. You can go to settings - manage apps - and close each open app but that's kinda tedious
    2. Facebook is currently not compatable but hopefully soon there are other apps as well as the website
    3. my cloud I don't use but it is for your online storage of pictures, music, and videos
    4. open the document and then choose save as and that will save it to the Transformer
    5. Skype audio works but not video currently. The current work around is the onboard app called Talk and it is Google Talk.

    I just go the the Facebook website which works well for me. There is a setting in the browser to make websites see that you're on a desktop rather than a mobile device. The full Facebook site is better for me than an app.

    It's the "can do" attitude that helps make this forum what it is! It's easy to say what's wrong so thanks for helping to point out positive ways to overcome!

    Thanks guys!
    I have been using the facebook browser and its fine, but I just wanted to make sure I wasnt just not able to find the correct app.
    I also have Talk so I will try that.
    I dont want to shut down every time, and its not that big a deal for them to show up in the history, just wanted to make sure they werent like still OPEN since they were there.

    With saving the attachements, I dont know how to save it. I opened a PDF attachment and there is no option to save, it showed up in my Library but anywhere in Polaris??

    When I get an email with a PDF attachment I can choose to view it or save it so I guess that it what I was referring to. And when I save it, it is stored in the folder called /sdcard/download. Now don't be fooled by this 'sdcard' because that is actually internal storage on the Transformer! It is not an actual SD Card!

    Just a side note on all the apps that show up in the history, they are basically in an open and ready to use state. This is a multitasking feature and it is a quick ways to switch between apps. Android does a great job of managing resources so don't worry about doing it yourself. Trust the OS to do what it was created to do!

    For Honeycomb 3.1 and 3.2

    * Open your stock browser
    * Hit the menu button top right
    * Click "settings"
    * Click "Advanced" in the left menu
    * Scroll down and click "User agent string"
    * Check "desktop"

    That is it. Now every site you visit will automatically go to the regular version instead of the mobile version.

    Just an FYI. In Honeycomb 3.0 this is not a permanent fix. You may have to redo it when you reboot or shut your Transformer down. Also you should clear your browsers cookies and cache after doing this.

    Thank you. I wondered if there was any way to use the desktop browser version of mobile instead, but failed to discover how.

    In answer to your question #2, you might read this THREAD with a discussion about an App for Facebook Called Friend Me.
