I noticed the same thing, I have a MiFi that connected when I woke it up
I guess i must not use my tablet like a lot of other members here. I'm not concerned with battery at all. I don't have the dock and primarily use it for web browsing. I just charge it at night and the lowest battery I've seen is about 30%. That app that goes into airplane mode when sleeping is very cool. It seems they think of everything.
thanks for clearing that up Tim
I had to open it up (showed up in the notification tray) and hit the START button. I know it works as I use WidgetLocker for my lock screen and then have a Wigetsoid widget that has toggles for Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS and Airplane Mode. When I wake it up, the airplane mode is on for a split second then it shuts off and WiFi wakes back up.
The Transformer with the keyboard dock has great autonomy but I don't use the tablet everyday so usually shut it down. Nevertheless, if it's not used for a few days, when I try to turn it on, the battery is completely or almost completely drained, even if it was left completely charged.
Is there a way to shutdown the Transformer completely, no energy consumption whatsoever like a Windows laptop?
Also if you have a serial number below B8O it may have a defective io board in the dock. This prevents full shutdown and causes the dock to drain.
Two choices if this is the case send it to ASUS for sevice OR disconnect the dock from the TF when you are not going to use it. In my test I charged up the dock to 100% and set it on the side, after 3days I reconnected to the TF and dock battery was still at 98%.
To test for this problem pt the dock to sleep with the power switch or just let sleep on its own. Wait about five minutes, and than press any key 4 to 5 times if the TF wakes up you have the defective IO board in the dock.
