Charging both the TF and KB at the same time?

You are actually charging the KB and the KB is charging the TF

You're charging both. I had the Transformer docked and turned off overnight and the next day both were at 100%.

The tablet will not show charging immediately as it takes some time to build up a charge in the dock (~10%) before the TF shows that it is charging.

I know I can charge just the KB or just the TF, or both together. But it seems only the KB has an indicator light. How does the TF show that it is charging?

The tablet shows that it is charging by the battery by the clock. It will get a lightning bolt. That is pretty much the only way to know it is charging.

When I go to charge and plug in the connector and switch it on, it then powers up the TF.
I then shut it down and leave it charging.
Is it better to do this or leave it on, but in standby whilst charging?
This happens if the TF is docked or not.
Is there an option to plug it into charge where it will not boot itself up?

Windy,

Most (not all) newer devices assume that when you plug it in to charge that it should power up. The iPad, iPhone, Blackberry Tour, LG Env3, LG Env2, and Palm Treo 600p all behaved this way. I think some before this era too, but I no longer have them to test it out.

There is not a way to change this behavior on the TF, but the other item is that when it is sleeping it uses about the same power as when it is off compared to when it is on. Most users tend to leave their TF sleeping most of the time unless not using it for a week or more from what I have read.
