Common left speaker sound issue - can some test this?

OK, last night I was watch a film on my TF through Moboplayer using software decoding and the sound was working fine through both speakers. I put my TF down for a moment and picked it back up the other way up and continued to watch the film. I noticed that sound was only coming out strongly from the left speaker. I turned the TF around the other way and it seemed to be fine again in both speakers. I think the problem was only happening with the web cam on top. Has anyone else noticed this?

If so, does it then point to a software configuration problem and not a speaker / hardware problem?

OK - I just noticed this setting last night.

In MoboPlayer if you tap the screen the progress bar and controls pop up. Tap the three dots on the right hand side of the controls (actually it is in the middle of the screen on the bottom) and you can turn off one or both speakers. Both the left and right should have green bars indicating they are on.

I dont think that is the problem and I will try to test tonight on the stock player.

When I rotate the tablet, the sound gets a lot quiter in the right speaker (sound still comes out) . But if I rotate the tablet the other way around, I get evenly balanced sound coming from both speakers. I have checked the green bars and they are both on.
