TF101 Keyboard dock adapter or mod

Hello all!

I had a full set of TF101 + Keyboard dock goodness, until I managed to leave my tablet at an airplane seat. Now I'm stuck with the dock only. I bought a Galaxy Note 8.0 as a replacement and have no further use for the dock, so I was wondering if there's a way to modify the dock or use some sort of adapter to use the keyboard as a standalone device which I could use to write and power another device.

The first thing that came to my mind was some sort of adapter that I could plug to the male connector in the dock, and then plug a usb connector to it to use the OTG functionality of my new tablet. Does such a thing exist? or is there a way to mod the keyboard to accomplish this?

I think it would be great if it could be done, since the keyboard is sturdy, well spaced, and with a nice backup battery inside of it! Does anybody have any ideas?

Unfortunately the dock is pretty useless if it doesn't have it's tablet too.

EBAY the dock and use the funds on what you want.

^^^^^ Good idea - the dock is not customisable in the way described. Neither has anyone ever posted pinouts anywhere to enable the fabrication of a custom cable.

In short - can't be done.

I guess you're right and the best choice is to sell the dock and look for an alternative.
