    Firmware update 8.2.3.13

Does the latest firmware update do anything except fix the keyboard problem?

I don't have the keyboard so was wondering if there is any reason to upgrade.

I didnt have the dock issues but did the firmware upgrade anyways. I have not noticed any difference but still reccomend it.

I have the keyboard and did the upgrade. I have noticed no differences since upgrading. I think some keyboards had more problems than mine did. My only complaint is still the huge lag time while typing on the internet.

I haven't noticed a difference so far either, but I don't have the dock yet.

What type of dock issues? I'm just curious that's all.

I am not an expert at this but I believe. When the transformer keyboard update came out that is what changed ours to 8.2.3.13. I know in looking at the download files it only shows 8.2.3.9 but it also shows a stray download file under that and then in the other block there is a transformer download file as well. In my opinion, it is those that changed it to the .13 from the .9 But again this is only my opinion and for most of us with keyboards, we haven't noticed a difference between the 2 firmwares so I wouldn't lose sleep over it unless you have a keyboard that is really got some issues other than extreme lag.

Does the TF show you when there is a update ready or do you have to go looking for it. Will it download the update straight to the TF and install or do you have to get the file yourself and do it on a micro sd card.My Archos 101. had a update checker built in.If it found a new update you just hit download and off you go.

I received 8.2.3.13 as an OTA (over the air) update and as I recall there was a notification for it. I don't have the dock yet so I think that's the update for everyone. If you didn't get one, tap the WiFi icon in the lower right hand corner & then tap the date/time window that pops up. Check that Notifications are tuned on. From there I think you can do a manual OTA update by tapping Settings-->About Tablet-->System Update.
