    WIFI icon

    Hi
quick question, sometimes my wifi icon is grey, sometimes blue and sometimes grey or blue with arrows in it, what does this mean ?
Plus since 3.1 and now 3.2 is seems to be disconnecting a lot, tbh im wishing i never bought this thing as i keep picking up my netbook instead

Mine does the same thing with the exception of disconnecting. I not sure what the grey indicates, but it seems I am still connected to wifi when it appears. Perhaps it's a weak signal indicator as my router is quite a distance from where I usually use my TF.
I am not sure that 3.2 is the culprit, as I noticed the grey Icon in 3.1 as well.

Mine has done this since before the 3.2 update. My guess from trying to use anything that requires a signal is that when it is grey you are connected to the wifi network but not getting a signal. When it turns blue signal is good.

    And Welcome to the forum!!!

Arrows are wifi activity in/out (much like the BlackBerry indicator in the top right corner). Don't know what grey/blue is, but it doesn't seem massively significant.

The blue is the signal strength starting from the bottom. One bar f blue is a weak signal, All 4 the bars blue is a strong signal. When obtaining IP address it will be gray w/ the send receive arrows.

Mmm, no, I don't think so. Otherwise my TF has been trying to obtain an IP address all day, despite working just fine.

I stand corrected on this, I noticed that most of the time when it was Grey now that it is connecting to an N access point, and when it is Blue it was a G access point. Still monitoring it to see if this is the case.

Ive always had N router since HC 3.0 and never seen a grey icon for wifi until this morning when I upped to 3.2 I've searched a few forums but cant see a real fix other that settimg router to static Ip for Tf. Has anyone come across a real fix on there web travels.
    Thanks Gav
