IMHO the TF101 (with dock) is surely superior - much better keyboard, trackpad for an authentic 'netbook' experience, ability to angle the screen for maximum comfort (or close it for excellent screen protection when travelling), double battery awesomeness, and of course ability to detatch the dock completely for maximum portability if you only need the tablet.

Don't get me wrong, the slider does look fun, and if there was no TF101 I would almost certainly go for a slider over a Xoom or Galaxy Pad, but as things stand, even with it's quirks, the TF101 is still the Daddy. Though I can see myself getting tempted into the inevitable quad core follow up next year :-)

yeah your right. The quad core sounds tempting but I don't see many uses for it. I like the keyboard adDon but with this you don't need to carry it like a net book(which I already have)

Agreed. A quad-core proc in a tablet seems pretty useless to have (for now). Tegra 2 is more than enough to run everything people need right now. It's just a matter of working out the kinks/lag in the software.

True for sure, but don't foget that a year ago a dual core processor in a phone would've seemed like a pointless extravgance - now if phone come out without dual core its barely worth looking at. I'm betting that the same will be true of quad core tablets in 12-18months time.

Wtf, in the video, about 3:05 min, the stock browser has a sweet gesture/navigation option. Is that unique to the slider?!

    Edit-nm found it under settings.

What do you mean you dont have to carry it like a netbook? I fold over the screen on my TF, and it is the same as would be carrying this new one. lol.
Sorry, but no trackpad, and it has aweful small weird looking keyboard. No sale for me. The current TF is superior.

no trackpad, you have to carry around the lot and most importantly, it doesn't look like you can adjust the screen angle...

    I'll stick with the transformer

The first 2 min of that video while on mute is interesting...we get it, it slides open and closed.

I still like the netbook style of the TF. Offers natural screen protection when closed. Also the TF can shed the weight and bulk of the keyboard if you don't need it.
