Oldest person to use a transformer?

I'm curious to know if you are or know somebody that is of an older generation that owns a transformer. What computer did you transition from? Was it hard or are you still having a hard time using it? (Athough if you are, it's unlikely you'd be posting on this forum lol)

I gave one to my dad for his 63rd birthday to replace his old windows XP laptop. He LOVES it but is having a very hard time understanding the way of the android. So far I only taught him how to use basic apps like email, browser, maps, kindle (he loves reading the bible on it!). Anything beyond that is too complicated as of now.

I still find my dad double clicking on his home screen to open apps and links, pressing harder on the screen if he misses the first time, checking his email and facebook on the browser rather than using the dedicated apps on the home screen, opening every application shortcut until he finds the word processor, etc... he's getting the hang of it though. What's funny is when he sits back down on his old laptop and tries to unlearn what he's learned on the tablet and use a normal computer again. His fingers are all over his old laptop thinking it's touch screen, swiping away and everything lol.

But it's only week one and I think he'll eventually get it down. It's no apple (where you don't need a brain to use it), but I wanted to get him the transformer and keyboard dock so that he'd be comfortable replacing his old laptop with it.

I think Mickey is the oldest guy. He transitioned from an 8088 with dual floppies.

All kidding aside: I am not sure that age is the issue.. It really depends on what you have been exposed to:
IE: I was with a hi-tech company and is where I received most of my training.
I am 65, retired and have fun with my TF.

Well I have been using mine for a few weeks now. I am 59 years old and find this unit just great. I am in IT so it is no problem using it. Just teach him one new thing each day. Not more than one. Consider it good quality time.

I'm almost 62 in a couple more months. Granted I don't know the Transformer like some of the members here, but in reality I don't sit there like a dunce staring at it like Mickey and Fred make it out like I do. Its a pretty easy device to operate. But I've loved computers from day 1 with my Atari 800 then Atari ST, Commodore 64 then Amiga, Then all the Windows from 95,98,XL,Vista and finally the Transformer. I would have had a lot more but that pesky wife put her foot down from time to time. All those early Atari's and Commodores are stored here and still in running order along with their monitors. From time to time I set them up just for old time's sake. And all those classic games we use to get off the Boards!

How about 70 ? Got mine as a early birthday gift. Still 11 days to go. So far I love it. Struggling a bit with OS but not too bad.

I have to confess to using a PC of some sort daily for over 30 years.
