share internet connection from my laptop to my Transformer

is there any way that i can share my internet connection from my laptop to my Transformer using either bluetooth or wifi?

i have a cabled / wired internet connection to my laptop (Windows7) and i want my TF to be connected to the internet using my connection to my laptop...

any step by step that i could follow would be very much appreciated.

    thanks.

Connectify for Windows - Turn your Laptop or Smartphone into a Secure Wi-Fi Hotspot

(caveat: I have no experience with this software, proceed with the usual caution)

Connectify works very well! I've been using for a while now when I have a wired connection to my laptop but no reliable wifi connection. It only runs on Windows 7 though.

Anybody done Internet Connection Sharing on an XP laptop? I've tried the instructions to setup an ad-hoc network on a laptop here. Using Wi-Fi Analyzer I can see the hotspot but I can't see it under the WiFi Networks in Settings so I can't connect.

I have not seriously chased this yet but....non-rooted tablets cannot "see" adhoc wifi networks.

The TF cannot use ad-hoc networking without rooting. Some computers (certain Dell) have a My WiFi that allows the creation of an AP on your computer.

Fred is correct. I tried it a few weeks ago and my TF would not recognize the network. I have no problem tethering to my IPhone 4 or my SGS II. Works soooo well.

I would give connectify and see if it works. The only other (easy) solution is to add a wireless AP to your Ethernet cable.

I've used Connectify with my TF. Worked just as it should.
