Can you use a USB wall plug into the TF cord?

I have a universal cell phone usb plug that goes into a 110V plug with an USB end...can I use the TF wire to this plug or do I need to use the TF wall plug?

The TF needs more power than what is available from a standard USB charger. I understand it will trickle charge with a standard USB charger, but extremely slow. And only while turned off. A figure of 30 hours for a charge was mentioned.

As a Side note.. and a Question actually..

I have tried to charge it with a normal Mains USB charger with the output of 5V 1A and that did not work..
Looking at the original charger it outputs 5-15A 1.2-2A so what is it that make this work, is it a 15v 1.2A or 5v 2A charger? I hope the later.. I need an extra charger as many of you also do..

    Thanks in advance
    Kim

There are many threads on this. The Transformer requires a minimum of 11V to charge. The charger delivers this when it "senses" a TF on the other end of the cable using a couple of the USB 3.0 additional pins. If it does not sense a Transformer, it delivers only 5V. Hence the rating plate on the adapter.
