    Finding Password on My Network??

    Good Evening All,

Brand new TF700T owner/user here. Just got my new tablet on Christmas Eve after a lot of searching and contemplating and so far I have been extremely happy with the purchase my wife made for me.

But, I do have one problem I have come up on that is unrelated to the operation of my new tablet although I surely need an answer in order to fully utilize it here at home.... and that relates to being able to sign on to my home network. I cannot get it to sign on at all!!! It works very will on my cell phone hot spot and my son's home network. I thought I knew the password but whenever I attempt to sign on, it goes through the process and ends with an 'Authentication Problem' popping up and does not connect. I have rebooted the router (and modem) but get the same results.

A little data here.... it is a Cisco Linksys E2500 router and I have the security set WPA/WPA2PSK. I have checked the password before but I cannot for the life of me remember exactly how I did it. As I remember I had to 'get into' the router through the keyboard using it's IP address and then was able to check the password. I don't (didn't?) think it has been changed as I do have a laptop and a cell phone that I sign on with but don't have or can't find a record of the password used.

Or, if anyone has suggestions as to other reasons that may be keeping me from signing on, I would also appreciate hearing them.

I'm hoping someone can give me some help in trying to determine my password so I can utilize my home netword on my new Transformer tablet.

Now back to looking at cases, more power cords, etec on Amazon... :-)

    Thanks,
    Capt Joe

Welcome to the Forum. Some operating systems [like MAC] allows you to display passwords. If you cant get into your router, you can use the reset button and set it to factory specs. If you do so the password will be admin admin

Thanks Jeffery. I did get it figured out and I had changed the password when I put i a new router a few months ago. I had misplaced my new 'Home Network' folder and when I found it, lo and behold, there was the new network name and password. Amazing how much better this stuff works when you have the correct inputs.

I am going to really get a lot of good info out of this forum and hope to be able to contribute some as things progress.
