Battery drain after latest firmware update

Scattered through recent forums are mentions about dock drain after the firmware upgrade. Having had no issues before (8 weeks) now it drains 3-4% per hour. Unit will stay awake. I also noticed that battery use panel in settings does not update when hitting refresh. Undocked, it will refresh and show actual battery use. Issues is related to docking mode (unless my dock failed right after upgrade, unlikely), possibly WIFI settings. What do you see?

update: WiFi does not disconnect when screen sleeps, so WiFi disconnect policy setting seems to malfunction (tested undocked, to avoid dock interference).

Agreed on the wifi. It does not sleep with screen off 100% of the time and I have it set to wifi off with screen off. I now put it in airplane mode when Im not using it for extended periods.

JuiceDefender would be something to consider to have it turn off WiFi. It still seems to turn off Wifi for me after the latest update.

I did more testing and the tablet's battery works fine when undocked. It sleeps and disconnects wifi after a period of time. The drain of the docked battery is not explained, however. I believe that the unit does not really sleep when it is being charged (through outlet or dock), allowing programs to remain active that consume power.

    With the tablet?

That has to be the first report of it....I've read a number on the keyboard dock...but none on the tablet...

...especially since the last update only pertained to keyboard dock changes (the OTA update last week)...

In an xda thread, asus support responded to someone about this issue. If you go to settings->screen, and check the "screen does not turn on with button push" power setting, when in standby, the screen should not turn on when a keyboard button is pressed. If that is the case, then the new power-saving dock mode is working. If not, you may need to rma your keyboard.

No difference with the tablet here, I'm waiting for a new dock (first one had bad drain problem) so we'll see then.

Did the update last night. Have both tablet and dock at work. Currently not using. Will keep an eye on mine today.
