    Screen too bright

Hey Guys, Is there an app that will make the screen a bit dimmer? I've dimmed it manually, and I,ve used the auto brightness, but in the evening when it's a bit dimmer, the screen is way too bright. To the point where it gives me a headache and stops me from getting to sleep at bedtime! In Windows I have a little exe called Dimscreen, and I can set the brightness of the screen to a more comfortable setting by %. I'm hoping someone has a fix an app or a hack, that will help. By the way, does anyone else have this issue? Seems Asus is a serial offender with this as my little eMachines netbook has the same problem! Thanks

Good stuff! But I'm not sure of an app the gives those types of controls unless you are rooted.

Get an app called Screen Filter. It's been so much easier on my eyes. It has a nice widget that you can press to instantly dim the screen too.

I use this as well. I agree, it can be way too bright (especially in a completely dark room) - this app definitely comes in handy!
