    Flash 'Enable' in Opera Mobile

    Hello.

I just set up my new Transformer. I got Flash 10.3 then figured I'd check out the browsers out there. The new Opera looks great, but I came up against a problem with Flash. Despite setting the Flash to 'Enable' rather than 'Click to Play' I still get the 'Click to Play' symbol rather than the Flash just running.

Has anyone else had this problem and is there a solution?

    Thanks.

Fixed it. I had Opera Turbo on. When I switched it off the 'click to play' button went away. Couldn't really see any benefit of Opera Turbo anyway.

Of the browsers tried so far Opera 11 seems by far the best. Seems just like a normal browser on a PC or Mac. Flash rendering isn't quite as good, but by the next step up in hardware I suspect there'll be no difference. And I'm pleasantly surprised by the battery. I've been on very Flash heavy sites for a lot of the time, plus watched a 2+ hour film plugged into my TV with an HDMI cable, I'm 9hrs 5mins in on the battery with 22% left. Happy with that.

Also haven't come across a single crash or hiccup yet. Which is nice.

Glad to see you got it working better. You can try this fix to see if it helps your flash performance:

Thanks. It seems to make quite a difference. I've been checking out a site with a bunch of cool online magazines that are displayed as SWF files. Interaction with the mags does seem to be smoother.
