    File manager crashes

I have just put my .mp3 hymns onto the microsd, about 900 of them. Now when I go into Asus file manager to look at them after scrolling down approximately 20 hymns the file manager crashes. I have tried clearing cache and data of the app but still the same. I can access all of them through the media players but not through the Asus fie manager. I have also down loaded X-Plore file manager (the only one I could find the microsd card with) but this is a lot more complex and I would like to use the built in one if possible. Any ideas? Anyone have the same problem?

There are plenty of other file managers that will find the SD card but you may not find a shortcut as in the stock app; the actual path is Removable/MicroSD. If you're running into some limitation for number of files, you might try dividing them into subfolders.

Don't think it is a file number limitation as the other file manager I mentioned has no problem and neither does the media player. Will try typing in that path to Astro which is my preferred one.

I have same problem just with the SD... I'm using the pre-installed file manager to copy and it crashes randomly between 1-5 GB of the same data. Sometimes it comes with an error and sometimes the device reboots. My SD is a very fast(95MB/Sec) 64GB card.
I've also tried my MicroSD (32GB) and this doesn't fail at all? My conclusion is that either the OS has flaws or the file manager app or the HW. But which of these I cant figure out. I have tried with other SD cards but same outcome... Do you have a possibility to test a SD card? I'm going to send in my new purchase here and will be very disappointed if it comes back with same flaws ;o) I'm living in Denmark and have to send my device to Czech Republic (out of EU) to get this fixed :-( It would be very helpful...

Tested my 8gb microsd when purchased and was perfect it is a class 6. It seems to happen when I scroll down about 15-20 file names.
