    Turning off the touchpad...

Has anyone found a way to disable the click on the touch-pad of the docking station? I still want to be able to do mouse clicks with the button, but every time my thumb even glances the touch-pad, it repositions the cursor. Makes touch typing next to impossible. Has anyone found a way to disable this in settings? Couldn't find it myself. Thanks.

Mike is correct in that it is the 4th button from the left. But how you plan on using the button for mouse clicks with the touchpad pointer turned off, I have no idea!

Thanks. I missed that button. I was hoping for something in settings that would adjust sensitivity, but i'll probably just turn it off.

but the fourth button from the left switches the entire mousepad on/off. I want to just to switch off the 'tapping' functionality (as I always do on a laptop, I can't *stand* tapping because the darn thing always thinks I'm tapping for a click when all I've actually done is varied the pressure of my finger as I move around!)

So can anyone help with disabling tapping but keeping the mousepad otherwise working ?

    many thanks!

    Duct tape?

    Seriously, I don't think it's possible.

Mike is correct. At this time, there is no way to disable the tap on the touchpad. As annoying as it is, what I do is turn off the touchpad whilst typing, then turn it back on when done typing. There may be a way to fix this by rooting your TF and then modifying a file, however I have no idea how to go about this.
The way I see it you have 2 options at this point: Turn off the touch pad while typing, or 2 train your hands to keep off the touchpad when typing.

I just picked my TF up so I'll have to see if this annoys me or not but I turned off the touch pad and I just use my finger to move the cursor or mouse where I want it to be on the screen. It is a touch screen tablet after all.

Same here, would prefer an option to disable "tapping the touchpad is considered as a click". That is, I want only the buttons to be the way for the touchpad to click.
