Lost the password of my tablet

Is the WIFI on?

If it is, if you enter the incorrect password too many times, it will ask for your gmail password to get into it I believe.

Looks like a Factory Reset is your only option to get back in.

If you are in an area with a WiFi network that is remembered by the tablet (your house) you can try the password/pattern and after a few (5 I believe) failed attempts it will prompt you to use your Google Credentials to authenticate the Google account on the tablet to unlock. Then you can reset your password.

If not, you will need to do a factory reset.

I am not going to come straight out and tell you how to do this as there is the chance that you may have acquired the tablet through some questionable means. If you were a long term member I would have no issue helping, but your first post is about this.

I will say that the information IS on the forum if you know where to look.

Frederuco: I have the same experience as the person at the top of this thread. Bought a refurb ASUS transformer TF101 From Tiger Direct. I found an on line users manual and was setting up e-mail, google, etc. I set a password, my wife called, and I forgot to write it down. So, I am dead in the water. I am taking a much needed vacation and wanted to send pictures to my wife & chat on skype. Tiger Direct and a computer repair shop told me to go on line or pay $$$$ to get a factory reset. Retired, disabled vet, I bought a refurb due to funding. If you can help me I would appreciate it. I know there must be a way for the layman to do it. Thank you.

You can try to Factory reset - follow the cold boot link in my signature & follow the onscreen instructions thereafter...
