    Ironkey Compatibility

    Hi All,

I have an 8 gb Ironkey that I would like to use with my TF, however, I can't get the TF to recognize it. Does anyone know if Ironkey supports Android and if not, is their a workaround?

    Thank you,

    Mel

Ironkey supports Linux 2.6+ which android runs on. However you need to be able to run the Ironkey unlocker from a terminal and the user guide states you 'may' need root priveleges'.

There are various terminal apps on the market. You can try it and see if it works. You could also contactIronkey and ask them if they have tried supporting Android.

Thanks for the response, denbo. I did contact Ironkey and they stated they do not a plans to include Android compatibility. He did suggest using a windows virtual machine on the TF, but I am not too sure on hoew ot do this.

    Thanks

You can't install a Windows virtual machine on the TF. A Windows VM would need a good deal of memory and the TF doesn't have that much to give. Plus there is no VM software that currently runs on Android...
