    Question Not Updating to 3.1

    Hello everyone,

Please be friendly, this is my first post

I bought my TF101 a few days ago and it has not updated to the latest android version 3.1. When I go to [System Update] in the settings and tell it to [Check Update] it says "There is no update available for your device"

My current stats from [About Tablet]:
    Android Version - 3.0.1
    Kernel Version - 2.6.36.3-00004-g069b8b5 android@mercury #1
    Build Number - HRI66.WW_epad-8.2.3.13-20110511

If it has anything to do with location, I am in Australia.

    Any thoughts?
Should I try and contact Asus?

    Thanks

Please download the new WW 3.1 Android release from the ASUS support site (ASUSTeK Computer Inc. - Eee- ASUS Eee Pad Transformer TF101) and install it yourself.
You may also find the Firmware Update SOP at that page.

    Thanks for responding.
I am having trouble downloading the file from the ASUS website. I click on the links (ie "Global (DLM)" "China" etc) an nothing happens. May be an issue with the default browser. Where might I find another link?

Also, reading that pdf it seems the I won't be ablw to manualy update until my SD card arrives in the mail.

    Oh well.

I would recommend You to download this file to PC, unzip it there and copy the results to microSD card as explained in the SOP.
And you can not update your TF without the card.

    Please read http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/Eee...her_SOP_WW.pdf
You do not need a launcher (images are skipped):
    1. Please download the Update Launcher file from ASUS Support Site.
Please make sure to download the correct Build on your Eee Pad.
ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- Drivers and Download
    2. Please unzip the .zip file and you will find an “ASUS” folder in it.
    3. Please copy the “ASUS” folder to the root directory of MicroSD card.
    4. While your Eee Pad Transformer TF101 is on, insert the MicroSD card with “ASUS” folder.
    5. Then you will see below “exclamation mark” at the bottom of home screen next to clock.
    6. Touch ‘exclamation mark’ to open the pop-up message ‘System Update File Detected’ shown as below.
    7. Touch “OK” and then you should be able to select the update file(The Update Package should be the
same as the .zip you downloaded from ASUS Support site).
    8. Touch OK and you will see another pop-up message.
Please make sure power cord is connected while proceeding system update.
    9. Press OK and you will see below pop-up message indicating your Eee Pad Transformer TF101 is shutting
    down.
    10. After Rebooted, there should be a message indicates that your Eee Pad Transformer TF101 has been
    successfully updated!! Congratulations!!

Hi guys, I hope you are fine

Here is a proudly new owner of a Transformer Tablet... So far, I could not be happier with my purchase... I've been using android for a while on my phone, and decided to continue the tradition on the tablet.

But, since this is a new ground for me, I should ask you guys a question (and I hope you can bare with me here). I'm in the same situation detailed in the post... I have an HR SKU model, so I would not find the correct Upgrade file on the Asus webpage... Now my question is... If I download first the WW SKU_Firmware Update SOP, should it "Convert" my HR to WW and then I should be upgrading to 3.1 using the WW file? Is that what it does??

That is all, thanks in advance for your attention, and I hope we can be in touch in the future.

    Regards,

    Diego
