    Movies. There is a software package out there called Freemaker Video Converter which does a great job of re-encoding any source to android viewing. It's free and works very well. I put a bunch of movies on it and carry an additional card. While some folks use Netflix or stream, it's difficult to do that on a plane. Plus I also use it to store pics from my DSLR when the card is full and to have a backup incase a card fails.

    I've got three sd cards: a 16gig for comics, a 64gig for video, and a 32gig for my audiobooks.

    The internal memory on my prime is 32gig and it's almost never over half full...I only use it for apps, the occasional pdf/excel/word document for work, and ebooks.

    So you can get by without an sd card really, unless you plan on storing a large amount of media.
