Copying files from micro sd card to the transformer

I have mp3 files on the micro sd in the card reader on my transformer. When I try and copy files into the main memory I get a message saying that I can not copy files across file systems.
Does anyone know how files can be copied onto the transformer?

Try copying them straight to the internal storage directory instead of into a folder. I am not positive, but I think that's how I did it.

You should be able to copy any file or folder from the micro sd card to any folder in /sdcard, or any new folder that you create there. The micro sd card should show up as /Removable/MicroSD. All other folders are system folders and only root can do anything with those folders and files.

A user other than root can only manipulate files and folders within /sdcard and /Removable/MicroSD. If MicroSD doesn't show up as a folder in /Removable, eject the micro sd card and re-insert it.

    Good luck, Jim

Yes, the Micro SD card was as you describe - /removable/microsd , I was copying (or trying to copy ) to /sdcard and to subdirectories of /sdcard. I tried Astro and ES file explorer. Astro was more "explanatory" and gave me the message about copying across file systems (some reference to Java as well).
So I tried again this morning - exactly the same setup other than the T/F was docked, can't see why that would matter, and it worked, copied fine.
I must have tried about 10 times with the two apps last night and no dice, I will carry out further investigations, I hate mysteries.
The T/F had not been rebooted or anything btw.
