    Cool Possible Security Problem Discovered?

I just found a bug that could compromise your Tablet's security if someone knows how to do this... Here was what happened.

    TF101: ICS

Tablet was on, but the screen wasn't on (had pressed the power button, which turned off the screen). As you now, pressing the power button again will bring you to the lock/unlock screen.

I plugged in the keyboard by itself, so it was charging. Then I plugged the tablet into the keyboard (still plugged in). The first "ding" indicated that the keyboard was now connected, and the screen turned on. Immediately after that, the "ding" that indicates it's charging came up, and the tablet went directly to the home screen as if I'd swiped the unlock slider, yet, I had not. Not a big deal for me, but it's a potential security loophole someone could take advantage of if they stole your machine.

Just thought you should know! Try it and see if it does the same thing on yours...

Setherson, I don't think that's an issue. If you are docked with the keyboard, have the slide-to-unlock enabled, and open the tablet/dock, it will bypass the slide-to-unlock. I think this is by design. The slide-to-unlock, IMO, is used to prevent accidental screen interactions if the power button is hit while transporting the tablet in a case or sleeve. If you put a PIN lock in place, the opening of the tablet/dock, does not get past the PIN prompt. I will assume it won't get past the example you provided either.

That would explain why I haven't seen it, mine is secured with a PIN. Hadn't even thought about that.
