Why can't I see folders in comcast email?

I have exhausted all measures....I like to try to figure things out on my own--makes me remember things better.

    However, I'm stuck.

I have 3 emails added to my tablet. My AOL and gmail account have folders visible. My Comcast email is my main email and I have needed a few items in my folders over the past few months, and if I had my folders visible (like my AOL/gmail account), it would be so nice.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks....

Chances are your GMail and AOL are set up as IMAP which syncs to the server. Your comcast is probably set up with POP3 which each device downloads from the server.

Check with comcast for IMAP settings for email. You may have to do a manual setup to get it working.

Just type in XFINITY by Comcast -- Official Customer Site | Email | Watch TV Online click on email, sign in, and see your folders, that's what I do. If you do that don't for get to logout at bottom of page of your email page.

Thanks. A few years ago, calling Comcast was not as painful as it is today.

The customer service used to be so great and they used to be able to walk you through anything. Today, they are worthless.

I was hoping it was something I could do on my end.

It may be easier to start using my AOL email instead of my comcast so I'll have access to my folders on the road.

    Thanks.

Searching online, it appears that even as of 6 months ago Comcast is not using IMAP and has no plans to. This is bad for users who have computers phones and tablets to check email.
