ASUS Sync doesn't recognize my Eee pad transformer

I'm trying to sync my ASUS Eee Pad transformer using the ASUS Sync program I downloaded from ASUS. When I connect my Transformer to my PC, the PC recognizes it but my ASUS Sync program tells me, "No Device Found." How can i get around this?

I'm assuming you're on Windows. Make sure that the device is installed correctly by loking at device manager.

When I originally plugged mine in, the drivers didn't work right. I had to update windows media player to version 11 to get the driver to work.

Hey Bob. Lotsa discussion on this already. I haven't been able to get mine to work so I've gone to VC Organizer. It seems to be kind of hit and miss with the TF. Some can do it. Some can't. My computer is updated and I can transfer files to the TF but not sync. Sorry I can't help you further.

Step 1. Install Asus sync software on PC.
Step 2. Connect TF. Let it detect and install drivers.
Step 3. Tap Asus sync icon on TF (on the status bar)
Step 4. Tap Asus sync popup that appears on TF. It will now say the TF is in debugging mode.
Step 5. Asus sync should automatically launch on PC. You can now sync your contacts and calendar (sadly not apps and settings).
    EthicsBob and DaBooch like this.

    Thank you.

Unfortunately...I have run this drill over a dozen times...and it never proceeds after the connection in Step #2.

Gazillion thanks, Dick. It worked. Somehow I had downloaded the wrong sync program. When i tapped the the Asus sync icon (step 3) it told me i didn't have the software installed. i downloaded it (again? Maybe), went to step 4 and BINGO!!

You made my experience with the TF. Yay!

DaBooch, I'm using Windows 7. Dick Emery's suggestion worked for me.

Didn't work for me. No drivers were installed during step 2 and step 5 didn't happen. The TF says I do not have ASUS Sync installed on my computer or it is not open. It did not open it automatically. Does anyone know where in the Device Manager in Win 7 that the TF resides? I'm thinking of deleting the drivers and letting the computer reinstall as per step 2.
