"Quality control" the reason for limited Transformer availability

    Hey everyone-

I found this article where representatives from ASUS have countered the reports that they are limited to producing 10,000 Transformers a month due to component shortages.

Apparently the reason for the shortage is ASUS ensuring each Transformer meets their high "quality control" standards, and that production is suffering no shortfalls (in fact it is increasing to meet demand):

ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Shipments Running Low Quality Control To Blame Rather Than Component Shortages? | Android News, Reviews, Apps, Games, Phones, Tablets, Tips, Mods, Videos, Tutorials - Android Police

Here is the original article the previous article references:

Hopefully I will be reunited with my fellow Transformers soon. =)

The original Transformer awaits an improved ROLLOUT from Asus!

This would be very good news. Hopefully it's true and the part about shipments arriving to retailers this week applies to the U.S. as well as the U.K. I guess I'll just keep checking for a delivery date on my order at Amazon until then.

I'm glad they have high quality control, but dang. The backlog for these things is pretty long. They need to find a way to do it a little faster.
