Anybody notice recent battery drain issues

After instaling auto airplane, battery drain was a thing of the past, until the last couple of weeks, all of the sudden, the battery is draining in standby.

No problem until I have time to look into it, I decided to just shut it down when I'm not going to use it for a while. Now I'm noticing that the tablet battery is draining when shut off. I'm talking down 33% in 24 hours while shut down. The keyboard battery is charging it up now as I type. Either my tablet battery is going bad or something strange is happening while it is shut down.

Yes, if you look at some of the recent update threads you'll find it's quite the issue.

I've noticed issues as well.....I have auto airplane installed as well. The problem, however, is that it's inconsistent.

For instance, one night this week, I shut off (power down, not sleep) a fully charged tablet, and 24 hours later the dock was down by 15%.

Then, I tried charging it up to 100%/100% last night, shut it down, and turned it back on 15.5 hours later, and the tablet was at 97% and dock at 99%. It's still higher drain than it should be getting for being turned off.....by maybe, the act of turning it on, and booting all the systems up etc. actually drains 2% of battery or something.

I *have* noticed that *something* seems to get the processor really going.....I have CPU Spy, and I can check after some use, and several hours of sleep mode, and see that maybe 80% of my use is deep sleep, but then I have 30 minutes where the CPU is using 100%. What use I *have* had was typically web surfing, or just flipping through my homescreens. Is that enough for 100% CPU usage?

Again, it seems somewhat inconsistent. So I'm not sure if this is normal or not.

Things were perfect a month or two ago. No key lag and the battery lasted all week without a recharge. Then the keylag came back and mystery power drains while it is shut off. Maybe the key lag, battery drain and mystery CPU usage are all related.

Actually, I've experienced a similar increase in battery drainage! I'm guessing that your using the TF101?

It's not the fact that it drains. But these things have limited numberes of recharge cycles before the battery degrades to a noticeable degree. If something's prematurely wearing the battery out, then it's burning through those cycles, and shortening the life of the device.

Obviously, we can just recharge the thing. But I'd rather not have a bug in software causing the battery to "age" 20% faster than normal.
