    Movie Files on TF101

I used my old Micro SD card and want to use it to put some movies on so I can watch on the tablet. Which movie files work the best? I have mp4 mkv and others..

    Thanks for the help.

here are the file supported by mx video player:

    avi
    mpeg
    mp4
    wmv
    divx
    xvid
    mov
    flv
    vob
    3gp

but there are some who mentioned mp4 bandwidth limitation. i also cannot view 1080ps although some successfully did using dice player.

I use DVD Catalyst 4 ( http://www.tools4movies.com) to convert just about anything to mp4 and Mopo Player (Android Market) to play films on my TF 100.

I like the way DVD Catalyst samples the original file to decide the optimal resolution and its encoding speed. Mobo Player is smooth: I rarely notice lags.

+1 for Moboplayer. I especially like that it offers the option of hardware vs. software decoding. The only minor annoyance is the soft keys don't dim or shrink during playback, like they do in the stock player (nice feature!). You can get a third-part app to kill them, or wait and see how ICS handles it.

@markjeff, does mx hide the buttons during playback?

Yes, MX hides the buttons same as the stock player. Also, MX remembers where you were in watching a file so you can switch apps and come back and not have to jump to your progress again. Even remembers it after a reboot.
