How to turn GPS off

Hi

I bought Asus Transformer 2 weeks ago and I am very happy about this fact .

Among other soft that I install on it was Battery Mix. This handy tool show me that GPS module is always on and always eat my battery . But I use google-maps-like software only once so in everyday usage I don't need GPS module. Is there any way to turn it off?

When in doubt, go to settings.

Do really know that this possibly through settings ?
Because I review all of them and didn't find such setting ....

What did you find under the 'Locations & Security' settings. That's Androids settings, not the Maps app settings.

Settings --> location&security--> uncheck middle box (use gps sat)

It was translation issue . I use Russian locale and if translate back to English this menu point sounds like "Use GPS to Detect your position" so I didn't link it with action "turn off GPS" ....
