My Cloud, Web Storage and Drop Box ect... What to use?

There are so many options. I have looked around and perhaps could stand to get a gentle nudge in the right direction.

I am looking for an elagent solution to Cloud based file syncronization between platforms.

Up until now on the Windows side I have been using Dropbox. It has been great! Instant notifications and all that jazz. Wife's computer and laptop and my computer and those of my adult children all have shared folders and I have 4GB free with them currently. But the product is not quite the same experience on the TF. It still feels pretty elagant and all that but I know the files are not really on the TF. Which is likely a good thing I guess. So for now that is what I have on the TF and have learned about the EXPORT actually means "SAVE A COPY TO MY TF". Dropbox works suprisingly well given that it is web based. I have to hand it to them.

But what of this My Cloud? And what is Web Storage icon I have in my APPS? Are they a team?

Should I use My Cloud instead of Dropbox?

What is the most elagent solution? Something like Apple iCould? I am new to tablets but an old hat at computers.

    Charles.

    Hello,
what about the crypting of the files?
Basically on drop box, they are not crytped. Dropbox can access them anytime they want...
Is it the same with mycloud? Is there any other free cloud that is really private, files crypted by your OWN password, that the cloud don't know?

    Sugarsync?

I use Sugarsync - you get 5Gb of storage anyway. I thought that was way more than I needed but I am up to over 2.5 Gb coz I have put all my work docs on there so I have them to hand when I am out of the office. They have clients for Win and Android too and you can backup and sync folders across devices.

check out Data and File Security - Secure Online Backup - SugarSync about their encryption.

If you want to encrypt a file without the cloud storage people knowing what the password is, then you will have to encrypt locally and upload.
