Method to Improve microphone gain on TF101

As everyone knows the Mic Gain on the TF101 is poor.
The TF 101 is almost useless on Skype.
An external Mic helps, but then you are stuck using a headset , since plugging in the Mic turns off the speakers.

A really simple method to improve things is to tape a Business card , bent at about 45degrees to the back and side of the TF101, just behind the Mic hole.
This results in about 4 to 5 db effective "Gain" improvement, approximately 3 to 4 x power improvement.
I know this doesn't really increase the gain, but it has the same effect.

The attached photos show where and how a business card is attached using Tape.The test set up used a white noise generator on my PC .
A speaker was placed in a fixed position for the with and without card tests
The Smart Tools Soundmeter gave a reading of 75 dB without the card and 81dB with the card.A 6dB improvement.
Actual voice recordings using the sound recorder also showed a marked improvement.

nice tip, have tried and definite improvement. Could still do with more gain. Any other ideas ?
