Newbie on rooting.
Hi there, I just got my TF101 few days ago and I'm thinking of 'rooting' it. I've read a few posts in this forum on ROM and etc. However the more I read, the more doubts I get. I just hope anyone out there who is kind enough to give me some guides on how to start-off on 'rooting'. I've come across Nvflash and ADB but I don't know whether it's the right one or not. You can say I'm totally lost in this world.
It's helps for me to know;
What are the apps I need for before and during 'root'
Is the process to 'root' the same for OC and 'flashing a custom ROM'?
Thanks

First thing you need to do is find out if your tf is even rootable.
Check your serial number, it should start with a B follow by a number.
ie. BxO...(x = number). Anything B6O or lower you're good.
Early B7O is rootable, late B7O, B8O and newer your SOL

Understanding that there are some TF's that are not rootable is not complicating the process IMO, it is understanding the process.
